The AetherBox is a robust IP65-rated single universe CRMX transceiver, designed for professional use in any venue, whether it be indoor or outdoor, on stages or sets. It boasts an extensive range of connectivity options including XLR 5p in/out, Ethernet for sACN and ArtNet, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, while supporting CRMX transmission protocol.

Constructed from die-cast aluminum, the chassis offers water and dust proof protection. It also provides versatile mounting solutions, such as rack mounting, truss mounting with velcro strings, camlock for easy hanging via omega brackets, and M10 and ⅜ threads for additional anchoring options.

The unit is adaptable in terms of power sources, accommodating mains power through a True1 connector, DC12V input and and NP-F battery type operation via an adapter box accessory. For user interaction, it features a color display and pushable encoders, allowing for easy access to advanced configuration settings.

Firmware Update Information

PROLIGHTS product firmware can be updated in several ways, depending on the product and file extension. The available methods are listed in the product specifications in the CONTROL - Firmware upgrade section.

Note: Some products without DMX or USB inputs may require an additional device and may not be compatible with UPBOXPRO. Check the product accessories page.

  1. Check the update methods available on your product in the CONTROL - Firmware upgrade section.
  2. Download the firmware and software dedicated for the update.
  3. Follow the update guide available in the firmware folder.

New Functions:

  • Added "Ethernet To DMX" to the Ethernet Settings menu. This allows you to transfer the DMX signal via DMX cable as well as wirelessly when the input is via ETH cable.
  • New Prolights logo when the device is turned on
  • Added a Home Screen warning displayed after each firmware update or after executing Factory Reload + Reboot. The warning informs the user not to power on the device without connected antennas to prevent permanent damage to transmission range performance.

NOTE: Operating the device without connected antennas may cause irreversible degradation of signal transmission range.

Fixed Bug:

  • Once WIFI@Access Point is enabled, the WIFI module will always remain ON even if WIFI@OFF is set.
