At the enchanting Descanso Gardens in Los Angeles, California, a family-friendly, Halloween-themed immersive experience called Carved was brought to life. The event was developed using the existing infrastructure of Enchanted Forest of Light, the gardens' renowned annual winter show, and offered visitors of all ages the opportunity to enjoy an outdoor autumn evening that was “spooky but not scary.”

Lightswitch oversaw the creative direction and visual design of the experience, aiming to create a Halloween event appealing to both families with children and adults, while celebrating the spirit of the fall season. The installations featured handcrafted, artistic creations and illuminated sculptures that transformed the gardens into a warm, atmospheric celebration of autumn.

The lighting design relied on around 100 PROLIGHTS EclProfile CT+IP fixtures, supplied by A.C. Americas, selected for their precise color rendering and versatility in outdoor environments. These fixtures provided uniform and atmospheric illumination along the pathways, ensuring energy efficiency and maximum reliability throughout the entire duration of the event.

With the use of EclProfile CT+IP, the production achieved high-quality, weather-resistant lighting that delivered consistent performance and rich, natural tones. The use of PROLIGHTS solutions made it possible to achieve visually striking illumination while ensuring efficiency and reliability throughout the entire duration of the event.
