The new RTP news studios in Lisbon (Marechal Gomes da Costa) and Porto (Centro de Produção do Norte) have been equipped with an advanced PROLIGHTS LED lighting system, supplied and installed by SLS - Sound and Light Systems, in collaboration with Pantalha Lda.

This major upgrade marks a new chapter in the modernization of Portugal's public broadcaster, enhancing the visual quality and sustainability of its broadcast environments.

The new studios feature a comprehensive range of PROLIGHTS fixtures. 

For general studio illumination and soft key lighting, 124 EclPanel TWC, 104 EclPanel TWCJr, and 74 EclPanel TWCJR4x1 provide powerful and perfectly balanced light output, ensuring accurate colour rendering and uniform coverage across presenters and guests.

For key, accent and background lighting, 30 EclFresnel 2KPTW, 80 EclFresnel PTW, and 71 EclPar FC deliver precise beam control and a wide CCT range, ideal for shaping light and maintaining consistent tones on camera.

Completing the setup, 106 VersaPar, 88 Mini VersaPar, and 88 LumiPar 12UQPro offer versatile colour effects and fill lighting, enhancing the scenic depth and visual dynamics of the studio environments.

26 EclCyclorama 100, and 40 EclCyclorama 050 provide complete coverage from soft fills and key light to cyclorama illumination, ensuring consistent and high-quality results on camera.

The PROLIGHTS solutions offer outstanding colour accuracy, energy efficiency, and control flexibility, key features for professional broadcast lighting. Their minimal heat generation and low power consumption also contribute to greater comfort and sustainability in the studios.

The installation marks another step forward in RTP's modernization, ensuring superior light quality and long-term operational efficiency across its studios.
